Q. How do I receive kidstream early intervention services?

A. Click on “Learn More” for information on how to contact the San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) to begin the referral process to the Early Start Program. If your child qualifies for Early Start services, SARC will refer you to a local early intervention vendor, such as Kidstream.

 

Q. how does my child qualify for early start services?

A. The SARC intake assessment team will meet with you and your child to complete a standardardized developmental assessment of your child’s emotional, social, motor, cognitive, language and adaptive self help abilities. You will then receive an appointment for an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meeting with your designated SARC service coordinator to discuss your child’s assessment results and service recommendations.

 

Q. How much will it cost?

A. The Early Start program is funded by the State of California’s Department of Developmental Services, and is offered at no cost to families with children who qualify. Click on “Developmental Services” to learn more.

 

Q. what do I do if my child qualifies for early start services?

A. If your child qualifies for Early Start services, you and your child will be contacted by a SARC service coordinator, who will become your primary Early Start contact. Your service coordinator will guide you along the steps to receive Early Start services from a local vendor such as Kidstream.

 

Q. How long has kidstream been in the business of providing early intervention services?

A. Kidstream was founded in 2008 by an individual provider of early intervention services for infants and children with special needs. Since then, we have grown into a multi-disciplinary affiliation of developmental specialists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists, who share a passion for working with infants and young children with special needs and their families.
